Life is a huge adventure, and Sonya and Tony went on a most-excellent one on Saturday, 4 December 2010.
The Disneyland off-ramp from I-5 in Anaheim
We were tipped off through our favorite Shire people (our breeder Heinz and cousins Steve & Barbara) that a Disney horse was available for sale. We were looking for an experienced mare to add to our stable of horses, and when we discovered that this horse was Duke's full-sister, we knew we had a great opportunity. We took the plunge and met Steve and Barbara at Mimi's Cafe in Anaheim, had a great breakfast, then made our way through Disney security.

The "Happiest place on Earth" also has the nicest folks!
After a few trials, we finally made it to the famed stables at Disneyland, which is at the very east side of the park behind "Small World". They stable all the horses used in the park here, most of which are drafts who pull the trolleys on Main Street. Here, we met the staff and finally, met our new mare Bailey.

Tony and Bailey getting acquainted
We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with Steve, Barbara, and the Disney Trainers, getting to know Bailey's routine, feeding regiment, and history. It was very interesting to see their stables and how they operate their beautiful animals in the park.

After bidding our new friends farewell, we loaded Miss Bailey and took the "5" North back to Lemoore and home. Bailey was safe and secure at her new home at LPEC with no ill effects from the four-hour ride. We are thrilled to have her on the Tally-Ho team - she is a stunning and extremely well-trained mare and should give us great flexibility in our operations. WELCOME ABOARD BAILEY!
